Tony DiGiulio: This is a must see documentary of the abuses committed by Texaco and Chevron in Ecuador. I am still crying. It is a story about the devastation caused by these oil companies and their purposeful neglect and human rights violations by poisoning the land and polluting all water ways in the region. Cancer abounds and Chevron refuses to accept responsibility, even after the court ruling.

Tony DiGiulio: Movie Review: Shutter Island(*****) Twisted, spooky and mind bending. A great adaptation from the novel that keeps you guessing and on on the edge of your seat to the end.

The Hurt Locker photo
Tony DiGiulio: Movie Review: Hurt Locker(**.5) Not impressed. Was it a movie? Was it a documentary? Was I supposed to be impressed with what these guys do? Love them? Hate them? The absence of good direction in both the script and shooting leaves a lot to be desired. But...you do feel gripped by the situations they get entangled in.

It Might Get Loud photo
Tony DiGiulio: Movie Review: It Might Get Loud(off the chart) sorry, no asterisks for this one. It goes beyond rating systems. It is absolutely beautiful!

I love when a film touches on such a topic as music and does it so well that you become so awe-inspired by the musicians' accomplishments and personal discipline that ends up touching people in such ways as music can.

This is a great film to rent and sit and watch with a good drink and just absorb and appreciate what is being presented. Thanks to Matt Lawrence for turning me on to this film.
