Rent Vs Buy Calculator photo
Malcolm Lewis: The best rent-vs-buy calculator I've seen. Simple but comprehensive. Hey, it's from the clever folks at the New York Times. Very sensitive to the growth rates you plug in. My realtor thinks home prices in our area will appreciate 18-35% over the next 3 years.

Gtmetrix.com | Website Performance Testing photo
Malcolm Lewis: Easy way to test website page performance online. Uses both Yahoo YSlow and Google PageSpeed. A lot less effort than installing the plugins on Firefox and then running both tools and trying to combine the results. You can also compare stats for two different web pages side-by-side which, again, would be an effort to do without this tool.

Parentcenter.com photo
Malcolm Lewis: Great website for parents.

I like the Big Kid feature (http://www.parentcenter.com...) where you "get weekly emails personalized specifically for your child's birth date and track development as it happens!" Amazing how often they highlight and explain a behavior you've just started noticing in your kid.

They start at T-9 months for expecting parents ;)

Malcolm Lewis: Parenting website and blog focused on interacting with other parents and how to deal with conflict if and when it arises.
Netflix Instant photo
Malcolm Lewis: This is a review for their online streaming service which we access through our network-connected Samsung blu-ray player. They have a decent and growing collection of movies that you can watch... instantly! The picture quality is generally fine though usually not HD. That said, some titles now starting to show as HD. The big win here is convenience. We find it especially useful for finding new kids movies.
