Malcolm Lewis:
Tom Douglas pizza joint in downtown Seattle. I was expecting to be underwhelmed, but the pizza really was awesome. We had the crimini and truffle cheese pizza and had them throw on some sweet fennel sausage. Delicious. And the crust is really interesting too. Not super thin, but thinnish, and light.
So the pizza rocks. But be warned, the seating is communal seating on tables that seat six. So, for example, our family of four shared a table with another couple. So if you don't like that idea this place might not be for you.
Located just around the corner from Dahlia Lounge, another Tom Douglas restaurant. In fact I think Dahlia Lounge is THE restaurant that got him started as the poster child for the Pacific Northwest's local, sustainable, organic food movement. We ate there once and weren't blow away. But that's a different story...
