Apple Magic Mouse photo
Malcolm Lewis: When is a mouse not a mouse? When it's an Apple mouse. Love the scrolling and other multi-touch features. Looks great, feels great to use. I think this makes me an official Apple Fanboy. Oh well, there's worse things in life.

Fujifilm X100 photo
Malcolm Lewis: This looks amazing! The sensor is almost 2x bigger than the micro 4/3 sensor and yet the camera is not much bigger than Panasonic's amazing GF1 (http://www.fablistic.com/i/...). Can't wait to check on out.

Apple Ipad Case photo
Malcolm Lewis: Thin and light and yet makes it easier to carry and protect your iPad. I didn't want anything bulk since it defeats the purpose of a thin and light device!

Fitbit photo
Malcolm Lewis: Wanna eat less and move more? Read on...

The tiny Fitbit is basically a pedometer on steroids. It measures your daily steps and calculates your daily calories burned. There's a nice website that displays the activity data for you and allows you to keep a food diary so you can also track calories burned. As anyone with an ounce of sense knows, weight control boils down to balancing calories in versus calories out. Here's my public page as an example of some of the info tracked on the website: http://www.fitbit.com/user/....

There's also a small display on the tracker itself and a WiFi base station that automatically updates tracker data anytime you're close to your computer.

I don't get too pedantic about using the food diary, for example I'll often guestimate calories for a home-cooked meal, but it's surprising how many of the foods you eat can be found in the food database or online in other food databases.

Overall, I've found that this gadget definitely gets me off my feet more during the day, and the food diary is making me think twice about that third margarita on an evening.

Malcolm Lewis: For iPods etc. Amazingly powerful sound for $150. Looks like a small guitar amp. We bought it to play music at a kids party in a local school gymnasium. Worked like a charm.

Malcolm Lewis: This is the Porsche of clock radios. Built like a tank with an elegantly simple design. We got his and hers. A bit more than your average clock radio, but you get what you pay for and this will last you 10+ years.
