Kidd Valley Burgers & Shakes photo
Malcolm Lewis: Decent burgers and shakes for the kids (and you too). Several locations in the Seattle area. We tried the Kirkland location which sits across the street from Lake Washington and a kid's park, increasing the kid-friendliness yet another notch.

Malcolm Lewis: Good location across a parking lot from the beach, so decent lake views, especially for sunset, and nice ambiance inside, but the food is average at best. You'll be fine if you just want a beer and burger, but don't expect much beyond that.
Paul Erickson:
Well now I have to rate it higher than that because I had the double mushroom burger. That's two 1/2 pound patties and it was delicious. Nothing left of it.

The Ram Restaurant & Brewery photo
Malcolm Lewis: Quintessential college sports bar but great for everyone, not just students. Excellent and eclectic beer selection and fantastic burgers. Located in the University Village shopping mall.

Malcolm Lewis: Just tried the one located next to the movie theater in The Landing (Renton). Very messy, very good.

Triple XXX Rootbeer Drive-in photo
Malcolm Lewis: Outstanding 50s ambiance/atmosphere that kids will love (click through to their website to see what I mean) and decent but not amazing burgers, shakes, etc. Worth a visit if only for the amazing decor.
Graham King:
Do they have draft root beer? In bottles, I love Henry Weinhard's.

The Flat Iron Grill photo
Malcolm Lewis: Located in Gillman Village where the old Iris Grill used to be. Haven't tried dinner there yet but sat on the sunny patio for lunch a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed their most excellent Village Burger for $12 - blue cheese, brioche, smoked bacon, tomato, charred rosemary aioli & fries. Per their website, they also do wine tastings and live music events. Worth a stop for lunch, and I enjoyed it enough to go back and try dinner.
