Samuel Adams Old Fezziwig Ale photo
Malcolm Lewis: Seasonal ale lovers take note. A pleasant festive brew with a nice balance of malt and spices. Definitely worth including a few in your next holiday party ice chest.

Per Sam Adams: "Samuel Adams Old Fezziwig Ale is bursting with spices of the season. With a remarkably full body and flavor it helps those long winter nights pass more quickly. The rich taste hits the palate with a depth of malt character ranging from sweet toffee and caramel notes to dark, roasty chocolate notes. Then the spices come in full force. Cinnamon, ginger and orange peel dance on the tongue bringing with them the celebratory spirit of the season."

Malcolm Lewis: Smooth, creamy, slightly fizzy. I like it served slightly chilled, but only just.

Malcolm Lewis: Trappist Ale from Belgium. Darkish and malty. Not bad but I'll probably try a few others before I revisit this. The Chimay Red looks interesting too.

Malcolm Lewis: Very pleasant unfiltered wheat beer. Best served slightly chilled. I got mine from the local PCC grocery store.

From the website: Very light in body and color. Crisp, dry, spritzy, and refreshing unfiltered beer. Clean ale-yeast aroma and flavor, without the characteristic yeasty spiciness of a Bavarian wheat beer.

Malcolm Lewis: Not bad at all, though I prefer the smoother, softer flavors of an unfiltered wheat beer.

Malcolm Lewis: My new favorite beer. If you want to try a really authentic English beer, grab some of this. Delicious on tap when you can find it (eg The Three Lions Pub in Redmond, WA). Also available in cans from PCC in Issaquah. Tastes great from the cans, much better than I expected.

Malcolm Lewis: My grandfather's favorite beer. Many happy memories of drinking this bitter in pubs in and around Henley-on-Thames (England).
