Malcolm Lewis: Entertaining documentary for folks that enjoy food and cooking. A tribute to the quick-witted, cantankerous chef whose Greenwich Village restaurant, Shopsins, has become a New York legend.

Malcolm Lewis: Long (very long) on style, but a bit short on substance. I enjoyed it, not least because it's beautifully photographed, but if you're looking for another Bourne Identity, this is not it.

Malcolm Lewis: Aged Gouda-style cheese. Salty, crunchy, nutty, slightly sharp flavor. Similar to Parmesan. Delicious! We get ours from Whole Foods Market.

Hard to find a website for this little-known cheese. Doesn't even get a mention on Wikipedia!

Malcolm Lewis: I'm not a huge fan of the images, so hard for me to get too excited about how they were shot. They all seem to have required extensive lighting. I prefer street photographers who shoot with natural light.

Malcolm Lewis: Goes behind the camera and on assignment with veteran photographers for National Geographic magazine. Feels just a little dated (1996) but still interesting. Rented from Netflix.

Malcolm Lewis: We had a great Chateaubriand here, and overall it was a good experience, but I'm a bit surprised to see this place voted best restaurant on the Eastside. Overall, I thought the food, service and ambiance didn't quite match the high prices, and didn't quite compare to to Seattle benchmarks like Canlis (http://www.fablistic.com/ma...).

The restaurant is located in an office building and the interior felt a bit corporate to me.

Bottom line, good food, decent service and ambiance, but none of the above quite exceptional enough to justify the premium prices imo.

Malcolm Lewis: Superb French cakes, pastries and tarts. The individual lemon meringue tarts are superb.

Malcolm Lewis: Decent coffee, delicious pastries. Not much seating and no wifi so not a place to hang out with your laptop. Located a couple of blocks from downtown stores and restaurants.

This could have been an easy four stars with better coffee. I'll probably give it a second chance.

Malcolm Lewis: Decent burgers and shakes for the kids (and you too). Several locations in the Seattle area. We tried the Kirkland location which sits across the street from Lake Washington and a kid's park, increasing the kid-friendliness yet another notch.
