Teach Parents Tech Website photo
Kim LaFleur: This is a great idea and was recommended by my friend John Watson.

This website (http://www.teachparentstech...) provides simple video explanations to common questions asked by average computer users (like students, parents of students, and grandparents.) Topics include: Copy & Paste, Enlarging the Browser Font, and taking a Screen Shot.

Great tool to direct your friends and family to be more self-sufficient on the web.

Etsy.com photo
Kim LaFleur: Etsy.com is a great site for handmade items / gifts made completely by and sold by artisans. Site also sells 'vintage' items as well. Categorization (ie- vintage) is strictly managed as are the shop vendors. Etsy is like a great big bazaar. Right now their running their "Celebrating the Harvest" and "Halloween" items. Check it out!

Goodtodo photo
Kim LaFleur: Simple task tracking system from the 'Good Experience' Management. Subscription is $18.00 / yr. but is a helpful 'to do' list builder that is date specific and carries over day-to-day.

Retailmenot photo
Kim LaFleur: Best online site hands down for finding printable coupons and online (ecommerce) promotional codes for almost ANY online -or- 'brick-n-mortar' retailer and restaurant. You should check for coupons to local merchants whenever you're preparing to go to a store to buy anything. But more importantly - YOU MUST DEFINITELY- check the website prior to making any online purchase 9 out of 10 times you'll find at least if not a 10% OFF promo code, a FREE SHIPPING promo code. (Though usually I find much better.) Some online stores allow the use of multiple promo codes and the savings is even greater.
