Kim LaFleur: Alright... admittedly, my generation really doesn't do a lot of napkin-folding entertaining. However, I bought this book years ago and now have a bit of a tradition with my daughters where we pick a napkin "fold" style for Thanksgiving and / or Christmas dinner (depending on who is hosting...) and they get the job of mastering the style selected for the entire table. It's a lot of fun trying to find a style we can figure out and practice and then getting the right napkins for the job.

Kim LaFleur: This book is basically the Garden Bible for West Coast Gardener's. Lists most (if not all) plants / trees that can be grown in the Western Region along with their optimum planting 'zones' along with care and feeding information. It's a must have for any casual to serious gardener.

Kim LaFleur: This book is a great book for the DIY-er looking to apply some fabulous looking window treatments. The book is not a step-by-step tell all book, but rather an idea book which gives an illustrated visual and then describes the trade name for the design / structure. The 'encyclopedia' format also gives Terms and Definitions, which make it easier for the reader to either: a) discuss the design with a decorator or seamstress; or b) look for patterns and materials to achieve the same result. Great choice!

Kim LaFleur: Great book for the DIY-er home decorator looking to apply a faux finish to a wall or furniture. Breaks out paint recipes to exact quantities and discusses tools and techniques for achieving desired effects. I've done over a dozen paint projects using the techniques described in this book!
