Graham King: Keeps my desktop and laptop in sync, so I can work on a document on my desktop, and literally turn around and keep working on it on my laptop. The sync is very fast. Not sure what I'd do without it.
Malcolm Lewis:
Do you use selective sync?

Graham King:
I didn't know about that, thanks for pointing it out.

What I really need is selective no-sync: the ability to ignore certain file types and sub-directories. I gather it's on their list.

Malcolm Lewis:
Yeah that's kinda what I meant. All-or-nothing is too binary.

The Element photo
Graham King: For some people this will be a life-altering book, or at least a life affirming book. If you know a teenager who's passionate and skilled at say sculpture, but his parents want him to be a lawyer or a doctor, gift this book to both the teenager and parents. For everyone else just google 'ken robinson ted talk' and watch the 20 minutes video - the content is the same.

The author defines 'The Element' as the intersection of your abilities and passion. It's what you should be doing, and what you will enjoy most. He goes on to rail against the hierarchy of subjects (maths / science > literature > humanities > arts), and how that leaves many people feeling their abilities and passion have little value.

Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time photo
Graham King: Entertaining. Won't change the word, but a pleasant evening.

I remember reading an interview of Jordan Mechner, the creator of the original Prince of Persia game, way back. He said he wanted to get into the movies, but it was too expensive and took too long, so he made a game instead. And now he's credited on a movie as script writer and executive producer. Good for him.

Graham King: Excellent. Bollywood-worthy entertainment with a Western-structured plot. They even dance at the end. Well worth your evening.
Malcolm Lewis:
It was a great movie for me. Loved the song over the closing credits. Jai Ho!

Graham King: A good standby. If you're lucky you get to drink this at the airport, instead of Bud Light.

Graham King: Bustling local coffee shop. Efficient, friendly, has free open wi-fi and power points. All good. Choice of 5 drip coffees, $2 for a large.

Graham King: Brewers of Fat Tire, 1554, and many other excellent beers. Always a joy to discover a new brew from here.

They are a leader in sustainability and social responsibility: wind powered, employee owned, and much more.

My favorite US brewery.
