Dianna Hart: I recently went to the new Bellevue location for a company gathering. We sampled several items. The crispy duck really was the most awesome thing on the menu. Seven Flavor Beef was also delicious. Highly recommended.
Malcolm Lewis:
As good as the Seattle location?

Carol Lewis:
I've been to both - we went twice to the Seattle location and the second time wasn't as good (doesn't necessarily mean the restaurant isn't good...just a bad night that time) - the third time was to the Bellevue location and it was Yummoooo! The Seven Flavor Beef blew me away.

The Karate Kid (2010) photo
Dianna Hart: Better than I had expected. Our family was riveted. My son was ready for his first karate lesson after this movie. An excellent re-make of the original. Jaden Smith is headed for stardom.

I want the kids to get into a martial art so I guess I should take them to see this asap ;)

Despicable Me photo
Dianna Hart: Awesome movie. I really found Gru's dog quite charming. For a guy who really wants to be bad, he's pretty good. Highly recommended.
Carol Lewis:
We loved this movie too! I love how kids movies are made for adults to enjoy too :)

Dianna Hart: Their dim sum is the best in Bellevue. Try the honey cashew prawns and the orange peel beef ... addictive.

Lego Land photo
Dianna Hart: Our son, who is almost 5, loved Lego Land. Lots to see and do. Tons of fun rides and play areas and he was tall enough to go on every one (unlike Disneyland). Food wasn't awesome, but he liked it. Took us two days to see the entire park, didn't make it to the water park but it looked great. Highly recommended.

Grand Pacific Palisades Resort photo
Dianna Hart: We stayed here to visit Lego Land (within walking distance) in Carlsbad Calif. Beautiful property with lots for kids to do. One real complaint: the pillows and mattresses were ROCK hard. So I didn't sleep all that comfortably. The only other downside is that we were "required" to talk to the concierge staff, who proceeded to try to sell us on committing to another booked stay within the next nine months. Everytime we spoke to them they mentioned it. Got the feeling like they were under some serious pressure to get future stays booked. Kinda unsavory. The resort itself was great though. Highly recommend.

Paradise Point photo
Dianna Hart: My husband and I called this resort "craptacular." The location was stunning, we were right on the beach. But the room was small and cramped, and awkwardly laid out. The floor stained our feet black (was the finish coming off?). The toilet/bath area was tired and old feeling. The room itself was smartly decorated and the beds were very comfortable. The little "Coffee Cart" on campus that served coffee drinks and danishes was a spectacular rip-off. $40 for 2 drinks and 4 small danishes. So we didn't eat on site and therefore cannot rate the dining options there.

San Diego Chicken Pie Shop photo
Dianna Hart: One of the best restaurant experiences we had in San Diego. Food was inexpensive but fantastic. Simple, classic diner options ... but the star of the show is their chicken pot pies. Every dinner comes with cole slaw, mashed potatoes, chicken pie and a dessert (usually a slice of pie) ... for around $7. A delicious deal that can't be beat. Don't miss this San Diego legend.

Dianna Hart: Pan-Asian restaurant with a leaning to Thai. Excellent food ... basil chicken and garlic chicken and soups are excellent.
