Great Harvest Bread Company photo
Kim LaFleur: Favorite family fresh bread store. We like the Honey Whole Wheat and Sourdough most days. The kids really love the Cinnamon bread (and of course I do too...). The Jalapeno-Cheddar is a favorite mostly during the Fall and Winter when paired with a yummy soup. Real fresh ingredients and no food preservatives. A low-carb diet nightmare, but I've learned moderation! ;-)

Harbor Fish & Chips photo
Kim LaFleur: In the harbor across from The Crab Shack resides Harbor Fish & Chips since 1969. It's a bit of a dive, but serves up really good Fish & Chips after a hot day at the beach when the air starts to cool and sweatshirts come out. Equally amazing are their Fish Taco's that are enormous. An added benefit is that it is right next to the Harbor Ice Cream Shop for an after dinner dessert!

Pinkberry Yogurt photo
Kim LaFleur: Still my favorite yogurt shop even with all the help-yourself-by-weight yogurt shops popping up everywhere. Pinkberry is good based on simple fundamentals: simple menu; great and consistent product (high quality ingredients--- I can recognize them); good customer service.

The Original Pancake House photo
Kim LaFleur: Okay, okay... I know this is a restaurant 'chain', but they do have amazing pancakes and I love the Spinach Omelette with Swiss (hold the Hollandaise.) Some locations are hit-or-miss (like Las Vegas--- not-so-great.) Temecula's location is quaint, cozy, and good.

Ramos House Cafe photo
Kim LaFleur: Great casual location in beautiful San Juan Capistrano, CA. Amazing Apple Cinnamon Beignets and Wild Mushroom, Roasted Garlic and Sundried Tomato Scramble on the regular weekday menu. Highly recommended weekdays and for a weekend brunch!

Hodad's photo
Kim LaFleur: If you find yourself in San Diego for any reason and you want a great burger joint experience don't miss Hodad's in Ocean Beach. Burgers are to-die-for. Onion rings are amazing. Absolute favorite milkshakes [hands down] as they use real yummy ice cream with real strawberries (in strawberry) and shaved chocolate (in chocolate). Can't recommend it more highly.
Malcolm Lewis:
Will definitely track this place down next time I'm in San Diego.

Lakeshore Learning Store photo
Malcolm Lewis: Great store for kids books and toys. I think they have locations nationwide. Picked up some great summer workbooks for the kids there today.

Lakemont Village Veterinary Hospital photo
Malcolm Lewis: Small practice staffed by Dr Nathan Webster and Dr Sarah Hopkins. Both are gentle with the pets, and friendly/informative with the owners. Recommended.

NCS Roof Service photo
Malcolm Lewis: Owner Yuriy does GREAT work. We used him to pressure wash our driveway and decks. His English is not great, but don't let that put you off. He is hard-working and aims to please. For some reason the website looks more like house cleaning so maybe call him at 425-445-7206.

Safelite Autoglass photo
Malcolm Lewis: These guys replaced the windshield on our Lexus for $300 inc labor! The Lexus dealer wanted 3-4x that. OEM glass and a lifetime warranty. The guy came out to our home and did it in our driveway at no extra cost. Talk about convenient.
